David Long
David has reached a huge milestone, celebrating 10 years at AISUS being a critical part of the team. Taking on the role of design engineer, responsible for the design and development of our industry leading technology, specialising in the use of CAD software with a strong background in 2D and 3D platforms.
Dave started his journey with a great interest in art and physics at school, the perfect combination for a design engineer. Dave pursued his passion, achieving a BA honors degree in 3D design: Products at Robert Gordons University, with a goal to work in the energy Industry.

The AISUS Journey
Dave was introduced to AISUS through former work colleagues who invited him to join the company and support the team, contributing to the design and manufacturing of our inspection tools. Having got on well with the previous colleagues Dave was excited to join AISUS in it’s early years as a small and emerging organisation.
Dave’s career at AISUS has seen remarkable growth, initially employed with a background as a draughtsman to produce manufacturing/ fabrication drawings. Dave has climbed up the ranks with his role expanding to encompass the design, development, engineering and procurement of components necessary to produce the AISUS tooling currently in use.
Most rewarding/Favourite project you’ve worked on:
“I wouldn’t say I have a favourite, almost every project or work scope requires new or modified components or even a full redesign that help to improve the capabilities of AISUS, also in a lot of cases these benefit the offshore team with usability or functionality of the equipment.”
