Company: AISUS Offshore Limited
Sector: Robotics | Inspection Technology | NDT | R&D | Offshore Energy
AISUS is looking for an ambitious R&D Manager to lead the development of the next generation of offshore inspection technology.
We want someone who enjoys inventing, designing, building and testing real equipment.
AISUS operates in some of the most challenging inspection environments in the offshore energy industry. When conventional inspection technology cannot reach an asset or collect the information our customers need, our approach is simple:
We develop something that can.
We are looking for an R&D Manager who can help us accelerate that philosophy.
The Opportunity
You will lead technology development across AISUS, working with our engineering, operations, NDT, data and offshore teams to take new ideas from initial concept through to field deployment.
Our technology roadmap includes the continued development of:
- Robotic inspection platforms
- Caisson inspection systems
- Electromechanical scanning tools
- Automated NDT systems
- Internal and external inspection technology
- Cleaning and inspection systems
- Magnetic crawlers and robotic platforms
- Advanced UT and other NDT scanning systems
- Remote inspection technology
- Sensor integration
- Automated data collection
- Bespoke inspection tools for challenging offshore applications
You will also work closely with our project teams where upcoming customer projects require completely new inspection solutions.
Key Responsibilities
You will lead the concept, design, development, manufacture, testing and field introduction of new AISUS inspection technology.
Responsibilities will include managing the R&D roadmap, prioritising technology programmes, leading design reviews, coordinating prototype manufacture and overseeing testing and qualification.
You will work closely with mechanical, electrical, software, NDT and operations specialists to create integrated inspection systems capable of operating reliably in demanding offshore environments.
A key objective will be moving ideas rapidly from:
Concept → Prototype → Testing → Qualification → Offshore Deployment → Commercial Product
You will also be expected to identify emerging technologies that could strengthen the AISUS offering and develop relationships with specialist technology companies, universities and engineering partners where appropriate.
What We're Looking For
We are interested in people with strong backgrounds in areas such as:
Robotics | Mechatronics | Mechanical Engineering | Electrical Engineering | Electromechanical Systems | NDT | Automation | Subsea Engineering | Inspection Technology
You should have experience developing real-world engineered products or systems rather than purely theoretical R&D.
Experience with motors, encoders, sensors, scanners, actuators, control systems, robotics, UT/NDT equipment, magnetic systems, mechanical tooling or subsea/offshore equipment would be particularly relevant.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone with the engineering mindset to look at a difficult inspection problem and ask:
"How can we build something to solve it?"
To apply, please send your CV to info@aisus.co.uk. You may also include additional documents, such as a covering letter and/or portfolio, to support your application.
Location: Norway or Aberdeen, Scotland
Company: AISUS Offshore Limited
Sector: Offshore Energy | Inspection | Robotics | NDT | Engineering
AISUS is looking for an experienced and technically minded Project Manager to join our growing team in Aberdeen.
This is not a traditional project management role.
We are looking for someone who can successfully manage offshore inspection projects while also playing a key role in developing the next generation of AISUS inspection technology.
Many of our projects require us to solve inspection challenges that cannot be addressed using conventional equipment. That means designing, building, testing and deploying bespoke technology for individual applications — particularly for caissons, risers, J-tubes, I-tubes and other difficult-to-access offshore structures.
The Role
You will take responsibility for projects from initial customer requirement through engineering, mobilisation, offshore execution and final delivery.
A major part of the role will involve working closely with our engineering, operations, NDT and technology teams to develop new inspection solutions for upcoming projects.
You will help turn a customer's inspection challenge into a practical engineered solution.
This could involve adapting existing AISUS technology or developing an entirely new robotic, mechanical or electromechanical inspection tool.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage offshore inspection projects from contract award through to completion.
- Work directly with customers to understand inspection requirements and technical challenges.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, resource plans and mobilisation requirements.
- Coordinate engineering, fabrication, testing, offshore personnel and equipment.
- Lead the development of bespoke inspection systems for caissons and other offshore structures.
- Work with engineering teams through concept design, detailed design, manufacture, assembly and testing.
- Oversee FATs, technology trials and offshore deployment.
- Ensure equipment is technically and operationally ready before mobilisation.
- Coordinate NDT, inspection, cleaning, robotics and supporting technologies.
- Manage project risks, technical changes and operational challenges.
- Maintain strong communication with customers throughout project delivery.
- Capture lessons learned and identify opportunities to improve AISUS technology for future deployments.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, technically successfully, on schedule and commercially.
What We're Looking For
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:
Offshore engineering | Subsea engineering | Asset integrity | NDT | Inspection | Robotics | Mechanical engineering | Electromechanical systems | Tooling development
You should be comfortable operating at the intersection of engineering, project management and offshore operations.
The ideal candidate will enjoy solving difficult engineering problems rather than simply managing established processes.
Previous experience taking equipment from concept → design → build → testing → offshore deployment would be particularly valuable.
To apply, please send your CV to info@aisus.co.uk. You may also include additional documents, such as a covering letter and/or portfolio, to support your application.

Location: Aberdeen, with regular travel to regional hubs.
Company: AISUS Offshore Limited
Sector: Offshore Energy | Inspection | Robotics | NDT | Engineering
This is a new role for AISUS, created as part of our move to a regional hub structure. The Global Operations Manager sits between the Chief Executive and the management team and takes ownership of how AISUS delivers work everywhere we operate. We are looking for someone who has run multi-site inspection or offshore service operations before, who is comfortable setting standards, and who wants to build the operating model for a growing international company rather than inherit one.
You will not be stepping into an existing chair. Our Aberdeen Operations Manager stays in post and continues to run day-to-day UK delivery. Your role working is working across four hubs, ensuring the right people and equipment are in the right place, with projects delivered safely and profitably.
The Role
- Regional hubs: UK and North Sea (Aberdeen), Norway and Scandinavia (Stavanger), Middle East (UAE, covering Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar) and the Caspian (Baku). Each hub is led by a Regional Manager accountable for delivery, client relationships and local growth.
- Global functions: a Global Operations Manager and a Global Business Development Manager sit above the hubs and report directly to the CEO. They set the standards, systems and targets the hubs work to, and make sure the regions behave as one company rather than four.
- Support functions: QHSE, finance, engineering, data and reporting (Gemini and c|Ai|sson) and administration are run centrally from Aberdeen and serve every hub.
Key Responsibilities
Operating model:
- Design and run a single AISUS operating model across the UK and North Sea, Norway, Middle East and Caspian hubs: project planning, mobilisation, execution, reporting and close-out.
- Set the standards for how every hub prepares, delivers and reports a job, and audit against them.
- Own the global project schedule, resource plan and equipment fleet, and make the calls on where people and tooling go when regions compete for them.
Delivery and performance:
- Be accountable for operational delivery across all regions: safety, quality, schedule and margin on every project.
- Run the monthly operations review with the Regional Managers and the Aberdeen Operations Manager, and report performance to the Chief Executive and the Board.
- Lead the operational review of major bids and contracts before they are priced, so that what sales commits to is what operations can deliver.
- Drive the lessons-learned process and make sure what we learn on one project is applied on the next, in every region.
People and capability:
- Build and lead the operational team: Regional Managers (for delivery), project managers, supervisors and technicians across the hubs.
- Own competence, training and certification standards for offshore and onshore personnel, working with the QHSE Manager.
- Set up each new hub (currently Baku) operationally: local personnel, equipment storage, logistics and local partner arrangements.
Equipment, engineering and systems:
- Own the global equipment register, maintenance and certification programme, and capital equipment plan.
- Work with engineering on new tooling and with the data team so that field data flows cleanly into Gemini and c|Ai|sson.
- Put in place the operational systems (planning, job packs, reporting, cost tracking) that let four hubs work as one company.
Commercial and partners:
-
- Manage delivery through local partners and agents in each region, with the Regional Managers, so that partner-executed work meets AISUS standards.
- Control project cost and invoicing discipline with finance, so that work is invoiced on time and margin is protected.
What We're Looking For
- Ten years or more in offshore inspection, NDT, subsea or offshore services, with at least five years running operations at a multi-project or multi-site level.
- A track record of delivering offshore projects safely and profitably for operators in the North Sea, and ideally in at least one other region (Middle East, Norway, Caspian or Asia Pacific).
- Experience of building or re-shaping an operating model: standards, systems and processes that other people then work to.
- Strong on people: able to lead experienced regional managers and supervisors, set clear expectations and deal directly with underperformance.
- Commercially literate: understands margin, mobilisation cost, utilisation and the operational risk in a bid.
- Comfortable with regular international travel and with working across time zones and cultures.
Desirable:
- Direct experience of splash-zone, caisson, conductor or riser inspection and cleaning.
- Experience of setting up operations in a new country, including local content, partners and logistics.
- Familiarity with digital inspection data, reporting portals or integrity management platforms.
- An engineering or NDT qualification (PCN or ASNT Level 2 or 3, or an engineering degree).
To apply, please send your CV to info@aisus.co.uk. You may also include additional documents, such as a covering letter to support your application.
Location: Aberdeen, with travel to clients as needed.
Company: AISUS Offshore Limited
Sector: Offshore Energy | Inspection | Robotics | NDT | Engineering
The UK and North Sea is where AISUS started and it remains our largest market. As part of our move to a regional hub structure we are recruiting a Regional Manager to own it: the clients, the pipeline, the delivery and the growth of the Aberdeen hub. This is a hands-on commercial and operational leadership role for someone who knows the UK Continental Shelf, knows the operators and their integrity teams, and wants to run a business rather than a department.
You will be measured on three things: the revenue and margin the UK hub delivers, the strength of our relationships with UKCS operators and their contractors, and how well the hub runs day to day. You will have the Aberdeen operations team, workshop and support functions behind you, and the global operations and sales leads to work with.
Commercial ownership:
- Own the UK and North Sea sales target and pipeline, agreed with the Business Development Manager and the Chief Executive.
- Hold the relationships with UKCS operators, duty holders and tier-one contractors, and open doors with the ones we do not yet work for.
- Lead UK proposals and tenders, from enquiry through scope and pricing to negotiation and award.
- Grow repeat, programme-based work (annual caisson and conductor campaigns, frame agreements) and sell the full AISUS offering, including predictive data services through c|Ai|sson.
Delivery:
- Be accountable for every UK project: safely delivered, on schedule, on margin and reported to the client through Gemini on time.
- Work with the Aberdeen Operations Manager on planning, mobilisation, personnel and equipment, and step in where client, schedule or commercial issues need a senior hand.
- Run project reviews and close-outs and make sure lessons are captured and acted on.
Hub leadership:
- Lead and develop the UK project and sales staff, set clear expectations and deal with performance directly.
- Represent AISUS in the Aberdeen market: industry bodies, events, operator supplier days and the wider North Sea supply chain.
- Report monthly on hub performance (revenue, margin, pipeline, utilisation, HSE) to the Chief Executive and the global leads.
Support to the group:
- Make Aberdeen the model hub: the standards, processes and reporting the other regions copy.
- Support the other hubs with UK-based personnel, equipment and technical input when needed.
What We're Looking For
- Eight years or more in offshore inspection, NDT, integrity or offshore services in the UK North Sea, with at least three years in a role that carried both a sales target and delivery responsibility.
- Strong existing relationships with UKCS operators, their integrity and inspection teams and the main tier-one contractors.
- A record of winning and delivering offshore inspection or intervention work, and of growing an account over time.
- Able to lead proposals and tenders end to end and to negotiate terms.
- Operationally credible: understands offshore mobilisation, permit-to-work, competence and the realities of working in the splash zone.
- A leader who gets the best from a small team and is comfortable making decisions and owning the outcome.
Desirable:
- Direct experience of caisson, conductor, riser or J-tube inspection and cleaning.
- Experience of selling or delivering digital inspection data, reporting portals or integrity management services.
- An engineering or NDT qualification (PCN or ASNT Level 2 or 3, or an engineering degree).
- Experience of working with offshore renewables or decommissioning clients.
To apply, please send your CV to info@aisus.co.uk. You may also include additional documents, such as a covering letter to support your application.
