What does a typical day in your role at AISUS look like, and how does your work contribute to AISUS’ growth & innovation?
Every day brings a new challenge, no two days are the same in my role. My duties differ widely from the offshore work which includes site visits and inspection jobs, workshop days where I maintain the equipment, office work consists of paperwork preparation for offshore scopes or post job reports. The client facing part of my role is when I meet with clients and provide technical support to the sales teams here in the middle east.
What’s been the most rewarding/favourite project you’ve worked on so far?
By far the most rewarding project I have worked on so far is one that I have recently completed in Qatar for the new client. I saw this project from initial meeting with a new client, through the tender and bidding processes, the paperwork and equipment preparation, the actual offshore inspection and finally passing on the finished report to the client. I saw almost every aspect of the scope which not only provided high quality data to the client, but it highlighted the need of our services as we provided a clean caisson and showed defects that were previously undetected.
If you could swap roles with anyone in the company for a day, who would it be and why?
If I could trade a day with anyone in the company it would be the finance manager, as this would allow me to understand how the figures come together that make impact on the business. It is a key role which I would like to learn more about.
