It is with pleasure that AISUS announces the recent ABS certification of the drilling riser inspection system following practical assessment of the equipment carried out at Yardbury, and a systems audit carried out at site.
AISUS is now recognised as a service supplier of offshore facility inspection and Non-destructive inspection which ABS surveyors may rely on to make decisions affecting classification and/or statutory surveys.
This comes after many months of research and development to perfect the technology and inspection methods provided by AISUS specifically for drilling riser inspections.
The technology developed by AISUS improves scanning speed and data quality. With the ability to be used on rigs and onshore considerable cost saving is achieved for clients by negating the need to remove buoyancy.
AISUS will now be listed in the ABS recognised service supplier database, and will be searchable worldwide by vessel owners and operators.
