Engineering Futures: AISUS Connects with BISAD Students

News.

As AISUS continues to grow in the Middle East, we’re committed to supporting the local communities we are becoming a part of. With our HQ in Aberdeen, our expansion means building meaningful relationships in regions where we now operate, including inspiring the next generation of future engineers.

Our recent visit to The British International School Abu Dhabi was a standout moment. The enthusiasm and curiosity from the students made it a memorable experience for our team. This marks the beginning of an ongoing relationship with the school’s engineering society.

Barry Marshall, our General Manager, spoke to an audience of around 50 senior students and parents – the society’s largest turnout since its launch. The energy in the room reflected the strong interest in real-world engineering careers and the wider energy sector.

Through his storytelling, Barry encouraged students to embrace the idea that career paths are rarely linear. He shared insights into the energy industry and explained how AISUS delivers specialist inspection services for ageing assets across the globe, giving students a fresh perspective on the opportunities available to them.

Dean Hashim, teacher of science and biology and head of the engineering society, expressed his appreciation for the session, noting the positive impact it had on the students. “So many people came up to me afterwards thanking me for bringing AISUS in and sharing such a powerful, real-world engineering perspective with our young people… With you now based in Abu Dhabi, I’m really looking forward to working more closely with you.”

We look forward to developing this partnership further through additional talks, mentoring, work experience opportunities, and potential involvement in Young ADIPEC 2026.

A huge thank-you to BISAD for welcoming Barry and Stuart and for giving us the opportunity to meet such an inspiring group of young people.
