What is Advanced Non Destructive Testing
In industries where safety, precision, and reliability are paramount, Advanced Non-Destructive Testing (ANDT) plays a critical role. ANDT refers to a range of inspection techniques used to evaluate the integrity of materials, components, or structures without causing damage. From oil and gas to renewables and nuclear sectors, these methods help detect flaws, ensure compliance, and prevent costly failures, ultimately safeguarding both people and assets.
The AISUS Solution
At AISUS we deliver leading services and technologies in Advanced Non Destructive Testing (ANDT) to the oil and gas sector. We operate in challenging areas with remote inspection solutions accessing, topside, subsea and splash-zone, with capabilities to deal with the harsh conditions and risks that come with offshore and subsea integrity management. Our state-of-the-art Advanced NDT technology can be attached to any of our remote inspection systems, designed to ensure the integrity and durability of offshore components, so that you may feel safe in your operations.
Our systems are operated by our team of seasoned professionals to deliver accurate and reliable data that identify and profile even the smallest of flaws on offshore assets. Integrated with our data management reporting, 3D models can be easily inspected online, against historical data, enabling a full visualisation of your assets to help strategic decision making.
Advanced NDT Solutions, For your challenges.
Laser, Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Time of Flight Diffraction (ToFD), Phased Array, Pulsed Eddy Current (PEC).
Laser
The AISUS underwater laser scanner captures submerged measurements with sub-millimetre precision, quantifying defects including holes and weld root corrosion. Delivering cost effective photogrammetry, in comparison to alternative methods.
Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
AISUS remotely-deployed corrosion mapping solutions provide critical quantitative wall thickness data for pipework and structures. Designed for internal and external deployment, our systems enable access in challenging areas such as behind guide frames and in the Splash-Zone, where ROVs cannot operate.
Time of Flight Diffraction (ToFD)
AISUS offers advanced Time of Flight Diffraction technology which excels in detecting and sizing welding defects in circumferential and axial weld seams, that may compromise the integrity of assets. This is an advanced, non-destructive ultrasonic inspection method, which provides accurate sizing of through-wall weld defects quickly and reliably.
Pulsed Eddy Current (PEC)
PEC excels in detecting corrosion, wall thinning, and hidden defects in metallic structures, making it an ideal solution for offshore applications. AISUS crawlers enable access to challenging areas such as below the underdeck of platforms, delivering fast results without removing thick marine growth.
Phased Array (PAUT)
Our Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) is an advanced NDT technique used to inspect and evaluate the integrity of materials and structures. Welded joints, particularly those within the splash zone are a major weakpoint in offshore structures. Many weld failures are reported on caissons which poses a significant risk to the integrity and safety of your assets. At AISUS we ensure the integrity of your asset before costly repairs are needed.
