What does a typical day in your role at AISUS look like, and how does your work contribute to AISUS’ growth & innovation?
At AISUS I work closely with many different departments including operations – ensuring safe and timely delivery of work scopes and managing the more bespoke projects. I also work with R&D to develop new, or improve current, tooling for different client needs.
More recently I have taken on the role of Technical Sales, providing technical information for proposals or tenders and responding to new enquires to determine how we can help with any inspection challenges
What’s been the most rewarding/favourite project you’ve worked on so far?
I was lucky enough to be part of the team involved in a caisson inspection project in Australia. It was great to experience the different cultures and gain an insight into what offshore life is like on the other side of the world. The weather was great, food was amazing, and the morale of all the offshore team was very high making it a thoroughly enjoyable trip. To top it all off, I got to fly there first class which was an amazing experience.
If you could swap roles with anyone in the company for a day, who would it be and why?
Nik, the Fullstack Software Developer. It would be great to be able to understand and write lines of code and use that to create websites. I think it would be satisfying seeing the webpages being created from the code being written, albeit, frustrating when things don’t go to plan and having to look back through all the code to find the errors.
