Overview
The client required AISUS to inspect the full length of a 94m duct used to pull cables through from an onshore windfarm. Previously failed to be inspected by other operators the client needed AISUS specialised inspection equipment to gather urgent and actionable data – finding the extent of the blockage and getting the cable duct back into working order.

Requirement
- This inspection required AISUS to complete a full internal inspection of the duct to identify the extent of the blockage and clear this with high pressure jetting.
- Post visual inspection to gather data on the general condition of the duct and record any anomalies.

The Challenge
The client suspected a blockage at approximately 30m within pipe. With no physical access available into the duct this inspection relied on a completely remote solution.
Solution
AISUS deployed our crawler with the HD Spyball Camera. This Subsea rated camera enabled a full visual of inside the duct, locating the blockage where other operators couldn’t.
This detailed visual inspection covered the full length of Duct.
The high pressure jetting was increased slowly to ensure no damage to the parent material.
Our inspection system gave real-time data to the client showing the good condition of the asset. The recorded footage was then reviewed, edited, and annotated by AISUS’ engineers and data team, ensuring comprehensive analysis and reporting enabling future maintenance planning decisions.
